Health Sector Management in Developing Countries

Target Group: Those working in the public or private health sector, entrepreneurs planning to develop health ventures, health sector planners, administrators from health ministries and line agencies, doctors, investors, financiers, trainers and educationists in the health sector.
Planned Outcome: General overview of public sector and private sector health sector, with case studies on specific countries; status, growth patterns and maturity of the health sector; government support, incentives and subsidies for accelerating the growth of the health sector, private sector health ventures and their performance; healthy service delivery standards, in-country health service delivery capabilities; major health hazards, concerns and health campaigns across developing countries; health management standards and practices; and developing a charter for health management at Ministries of Health in developing countries, donor support and donor interventions in the health sector.
Admission Requirement: High level of proficiency in English, minimum 5 years experience in the public or private health sector, preferably working in the health sector, minimum 25 years of age.
Where do I study?
Courses are delivered in London but are also offered in other locations, eigther directly by EDCL or in association with partnering institutions.
What will I achieve?
A Certificate of Achievement from EDCL and St Patricks International College in Health Sector Management in Developing Countries.
How much will it cost?
Fees are £2990, Donor-funded, government and corporate sponsorships of larger groups willl have substantial discounts.
