Livestock Management

Target Group: All those involved in livestock projects, including chicken, duck farming projects directly or indirectly from both the private and public sector; managers of animal husbandry projects operated by corporations, governments such as the Livestock Board. Government administrators, planners , strategists, investors and financiers, wholesalers and distributors, meat processors, meat product manufacturers and marketers, policy makers, trainers and consultants.

Planned Outcome: A full and comprehensive understanding of the Livestock industry on a global scale with specific emphasis on developing countries; modern methods of livestock breeding, livestock feed, health control, meat processing, packing, distribution; farm to animal ratios, development and management of new livestock ventures, milk and other products; food manufacturing standards, rules and regulations; financing livestock ventures; economics of small ventures; donor funding of small scale livestock ventures.

Admission Requirement: High level of proficiency in English, minimum 3 years experience in the public or private sector, preferably working in the livestock or related sector, minimum 25 years of age.

Where do I study?

Courses are delivered in London but are also offered in other locations globally, either directly by EDCL or in association with partnering institutions.

What will I achieve?

A Certificate of Achievement from EDCL and St Patricks International College in LivestockManagement.

How much will it cost?

Fees are £2990. Donor-funded, government or corporate sponsorships of larger groups will have substantial discounts.
