Management of Non-Government Organisations

Target Group: All those engaged in the management of small or large non-governmental organisations, not-for-profit organisations, special interest groups, women’s organisations, not-for-profit micro finance and related organisations; officials of donor agencies; officials of NGO regulatory bodies; donors to NGOs and government ministries and departments engaged in licensing, monitoring and evaluation of NGOs..

Planned Outcome: Specialised knowledge of the world of NGOs across a number of countries; Understanding of management issues and implications; transparency, compliance and NGO governance issues; NGO management protocol, processes and methods; specialist software ( MANGO) for management of NGO finance; fund-raising and reporting to donors; rules and regulations governing NGO operations in different countries; recruitment and capacity building of NGO staff; upholding ethics and values; operating under difficult conditions; agenda setting and advocacy; transforming lagging institutions; gender mainstreaming; development dynamics and development planning.

Admission Requirement: High level of proficiency in English, minimum 3 years experience in the public or private health , preferably working in the education and training sector, minimum 25 years of age.

Courses are delivered in London but are also offered in other locations globally, either directly by EDCL or in association with partnering institutions. 

What will I achieve?

A Certificate of Achievement from EDCL and St Patricks International College in Management of Non-Government Organisitions.
