Governance

There is increasing pressure on corporations in regard to compliance and governance. A multitude of agencies have been established to keep a watching brief on the conduct of the public sector, especially in the developing countries. Governance is not any more supervision and compliance. It is an essential ingredient of organisational growth and survival.
Target Group: Government servants in managerial position, corporate executives, political leaders, district governors, councillors, bankers, managers of NGOs and other development organisations, governance trainers and consultants.
Planned Outcome: Understanding and appreciation of essential guidelines and parameters for public and corporate governance. International standards of governance and transparency, audits, standards and reporting structures; audit reporting, quality control and audit management; information technology and its application in data gathering, storage, retrieval and reporting; developing a nexus between operating procedures between internal and external audits and systems; legal framework of governance, dealing with corrupt practices; developing a framework of standards of governance and public administration best practices, monitoring and evaluation of tenders and tender procedures, detecting fraudulent practices.
Admission Requirements: Proficiency in English, minimum 3 years of work experience.
Where do I study?
Courses are delivered in London but are also offered in other locations globally, either directly by EDCL or in association with partnering institutions.
What will I achieve?
A Certificate of Achievement from EDCL and St Patricks International College in Governance.
How much will it cost?
Fees are £1,990. Donor-funded, government or corporate sponsorship of larger groups will have substantial discounts.
