Public Sector Finance Management

By far the largest asset management project in any country, public finance management throws up so much challenge and so much potential. It is perhaps the most sensitive area of management in any country as it has direct impact on peopleâÂÂs wealth, a nationâÂÂs economy and on peopleâÂÂs daily lives.
Target Group: Public sector finance managers, auditors, managers of departments, public sector project managers, officials of the ministries of planning and development, officials of line ministries, departments and agencies, national development banks and development finance institutions, finance trainers and consultants.
Planned Outcome: Full and comprehensive understanding and appreciation of macroeconomic aspects of a nation, its resources, resources utilisation, Tier 1 and 2 Capital, Central bank operations and monetary and fiscal policies, balance of trade, national economic productivity and growth, trade balances, donor funding and funded projects, budgets and budget allocations, budget line items, expenditure, control, monitoring reporting, structuring project costs, understanding government commitment on development and operations budgets, budget deficits, government borrowings, interest rates and commitments.
Admission Requirements: Proficiency in English, minimum 5 years of work experience, preferably in the public sector Finance.

Courses are delivered in London but are also offered in other locations globally, either directly by EDCL or in association with partnering institutions.
