Small and Medium Enterprise Development Strategies

Statistics on small and medium enterprises are staggering. They rank as the top contributors to a national economy, the largest employer and the largest innovators. They are at the very core of a nationâs economic success or failure.
Target Group: Public sector officials directly or indirectly engaged in economic development activities, officials from the ministries and agencies responsible for small business development, micro finance, exports, banks and other agencies engaged in small and medium business development strategies, officials of donor agencies, funded projects, womenâs groups and NGOs, trainers and consultants and small and medium enterprise developers.
Planned Outcome: A full and comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of small and medium business development, policies, programs and support facilities required to create a small business culture, research and development requirements, training of micro, small and medium entrepreneurs, financing the entrepreneurial activities, innovation and business incubation, accessing commercial bank loans, policies for targeting micro entrepreneurs, industrial cluster developments, institutionalising micro enterprise and micro finance training institutions, tapping into donor funding for micro , small and medium enterprises and embedding all aspects of micro, small and medium enterprise growth in into national development strategies and budgets.
Admission Requirements: Proficiency in English, minimum 5 years of work experience, preferably in the public sector Finance.
Where do I study?
Courses are delivered in London but are also offered in other locations globally, eiher directly by EDCL or by participating instiutions.
What will I achieve?
A Certificate of Achievement from EDCL and St Patricks International College in Small and Medium Enterprise Development Strategies.
How much will it cost?
Fees are £1,990. Donor-funded, government and corporation sponsorships of larger groups will have substantial discounts.
